Workshops
- Silence the Violence – This workshop is will be about putting an end to bullying people online, and the cause and effects of doing this. If you are a victim, or have ever cyber bullied, this workshop would be great for you and put you in a different perspective.
- Feed the Needy – No one wants to starve and go hungry. This session will focus on informing youth about volunteering at food banks, donating and feeding less fortunate.
- Abuse is No Use! – Keeping quiet is not always a good thing, especially if it involves someone getting hurt or harmed in relationship. There are places you can contact to help you with this problem. There are things that you should, and should not do, in these situations. Violence isn’t the answer.
- Lend Your Ears and Volunteer! – Volunteering is very important in this community! The speakers in this session, both students at Bishop Dwenger High School, will explain why it is important to volunteer in our community and ways that you can become involved, using their own volunteering experiences as examples.
- Be Aware and Care for Your Health – this workshop will discuss AIDS awareness and prevention.
- A Need to Read – It is very important for kids to read no matter what their age. This workshop will focus on getting kids to read and also getting youth volunteer their time to read to young children.
